PieceAlive moves between animals, landscapes and places, so each picture tests a different kind of observation.

Play PieceAlive in your browser. No app download is needed; controls and device support can vary by game version.

Select a picture and decide whether Easy, Moderate or Hard fits your available time.
Build the frame, then isolate animal outlines, buildings and horizon lines into separate groups.
Use zoom on crowded detail and reserve hints for pieces that look indistinguishable.
Finish the image, collect available progress rewards and explore the next scene or region.

Instead of testing every piece against every gap, build a few recognizable picture islands. Look at the direction of lines crossing a seam; a piece with the right color but the wrong texture is probably in the wrong region.

Mouse drag for pieces. Published controls mention H for hint and zoom icons; keyboard focus may be required.
